Spring Cleaning...in December

Posted by on Thursday, December 1, 2011, In : Hans3T
Well, not much has gone on in the past few weeks, so I decided to freshen the site up some.  The banner has been updated to include a more recent photograph of Barney that I did a little Photoshop work on, and I added some more photos to my Flickr so that they show up on the photos page here on Hans3T.

That's all I've got for now.  I'll bet you're glad you checked...  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Hans3T is proud to announce that HUMMER 4x4 Off Road is now our preferred forum for Hummer information and socialization.  Many factors went into this decision, and while there are some other great forums out there, H4O has proven to be a welcoming atmosphere with a wealth of Hummer knowledge.  The site will be re-opening this coming week, so be sure to register.  See you there!

Hans3T is 1 Year Old!

Posted by on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, In : Hans3T
Wow, it is hard for me to fathom, but as of yesterday, I have now had "Barney" for a full year.  And as of the 26th, Hans3T has been active for a full year.  (In fact, I just renewed the domain for another year. woot woot!)  Not to brag, but I'm really proud of myself.  I have had over a thousand hits (probably double that, since I only put up the hit counter about 6 months ago) and have been fairly consistent with my posts -- that is to say at least one post per week for the most part.  And ...

Hans3T Finally Wheels Vermont Soil...and Rocks, and Mud, and Water!

Posted by on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, In : Hans3T
Sometimes wheeling is not as easy as it sounds. Saying something like "Hey, I'm going wheeling" can give those with untrained or spoiled ears an impression of ease, equivalent to saying something like, perhaps, "Hey, I'm making some Kraft mac'n'cheese".

For those lucky enough to live near, or within, vast rural areas with few land laws or off-road friendly legislature, the act of "going wheeling" can be nearly as easy (albeit more expensive) than making a box of "the cheesiest". For some, like...

Hans3T: Officially "Likeable" Since Today

Posted by on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, In : Hans3T
C'mon, let's face it.  It was inevitable.  You know it, I know it, the world knows it.  Hans3T needed facebook.  I mean, a site that pulls as many hits per month as mine does deserves another outlet for my creativity.  The world needs more Hans3T!  I mean, I'm so grlppptt...ahem, I am so greatthhhhhlptpttt.  Sheesh, okay, okay...  (Let me get my tongue out of my cheek -- it makes it difficult to speak.)

Alright, well in all seriousness, the thought donned on me this weekend and I figured since...

Take a Number...and Click Away!

Posted by on Monday, January 24, 2011, In : Hans3T
Some of you Hans3T faithful (Hi Mom!*) may have noticed a site visitor counter on the bottom of the homepage.  I added this because...well, I could.  As admin, I am allowed to see site traffic per week, however, I wanted to have a rolling tally of how many visitors we have the site.  So, now you know.  I put it up on January 20th, and since then I've had a little over 20 visitors.  I'm content with that.  I'm not trying to rival Google or anything like that.

Speaking of Google, you may have ...

Hans3T Rolls Past 10,000

Posted by on Monday, December 6, 2010, In : Hans3T
This weekend was a big one for all of us just me at Hans3T:  The odometer now displays 5 digits as opposed to 4.  As the sun set on Friday evening, I took it upon myself to photograph the momentous occasion on my cell phone as I climbed mountainous hills through the Pennsylvania heartland.  What was I doing in the Keystone State?  I was on my way to Muddy Acres of course -- and how fitting that my truck would turn 10...thousand...as I drive to visit my good buddy, Muddydawg?  (Pic of the grea...

The Official Mascot of Your Favorite Blog

Posted by on Friday, October 29, 2010, In : Hans3T
Ok, so it may not be your favorite blog, or even in your top ten favorite blogs.  Ok, that post title is misleading.  It should read:  The Official Mascot of Who Gives a Crap? Hans3T.  Regardless, every cult-followed-blog-on-some-kid's-Hummer-website needs a mascot.  That, unlike the post title, is not debatable.

His name is Senor Hoppy, and I love him.  "Is that a frog in a cowboy hat?!" you are asking yourself.  Absolutely not.  It is a sombrero -- get...

Even Cyber-Terrorism Cannot Stop Hans3T

Posted by on Sunday, August 22, 2010, In : Hans3T
So I haven't posted in a while...Why?  A message was sent to me last week that the server that hosts Hans3T was attacked maliciously by cyber-terrorists and that the servers were down.  Fortunately, these pirates of the web were unsuccessful in their attempt to deteriorate the websites themselves, the only real damage was that the servers were slowed down to a point of being useless.  It is now fixed and I am back at it again.  Good for me, bad for you I suppose.

Regardless, I am now back in t...

Rumor Mill: Hans3T Stickers and Tees?

Posted by on Saturday, June 12, 2010, In : Hans3T
Word on CHO is that a certain Club VP is looking to illegally produce Hans3T stickers and possibly t-shirts.  I want to forewarn everyone that any merchandise items produced by Muddydawg are counterfeit and are not endorsed by hans3t.com.

That said, seeing as I am a student and have no disposable income, I have no way to combat Muddydawg's renegade sticker processing either.  So...f*^#.....

Whatever. :P

My Old Man: "No mods until May 2012."

Posted by on Thursday, June 10, 2010, In : Hans3T
So yesterday while cheerfully listing the modifications I would like to make to my truck, Papa Hans reminded me that I cannot perform any "mods" to my truck until I graduate -- May 2012.  His worry, I presume, is that I will sink all of my money into the truck and that I will spend all of my time working on the truck and shirking my studying.

I have the okay on "worthwhile" items such as:  After market UCP, and (I'm assuming, though I have not revealed my purchase yet) Hunner EXtreme Skids. ...

Hans3T: The Beginning

Posted by on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, In : Hans3T
With fresh news of getting my Hummer, I have decided to dedicate a webpage to it and all of my endeavors.  Hans3T offers me a sort of combination journal/scrapbook to keep track of my Hummer from pre-delivery until the day I die.  (Because I will more than likely keep this truck that long.)  Look for more to come on not only my Hummer, but anything else Hummer related that peaks my interest.  Ok, enough typing -- back to working on getting this site up-and-running.

What is Hans3T?

Chances are if you're here you know me, or at least know of me on some level. Basically, Hans3T was started as a "journal" of sorts for my truck, which I took delivery of in June 2010. (Luckily, I don't track the amount of money I've spent on accessories.) My goal for Hans3T is to entertain readers, offer my thoughts and opinions on Hummer-related topics, and to keep the spirit of the Hummer brand going strong. If you're reading this, thank you for your support! Hans3T is a non-profit website. (Unless you count self-satisfaction as profit.) You readers make Hans3T all the more enjoyable for me!

Don't forget to "Like" Hans3T on Facebook!
