Saturday's Rausch Creek Run was a great success.  We ended up heading out with four trucks, which was the perfect number for exploring tons of trail at the park.  We had two H3Ts, an H3 and a 4" Rancho-lifted H3 (which belongs to the owner of THORparts).  The run could not have been on a nicer fall day - we had cool weather, bright sun and blue skies above the rocky and muddy terrain of RC.

None of my group shots turned out too picturesque...Kflips' H3T lost its breaks and I don't blame him for popping the hood the first chance he got.

This trip marked my first time wheeling with Kflips' old Rocky Road Super Sliders on my truck.  I gotta say, after the first few times hearing them get banged on by the rough terrain, I was glad to have them on there.  The sliders also contributed to my feeling much more comfortable out on the trails.  Having been to RC about a half-dozen times now, I have become much more comfortable with wheeling Barney.  I really challenged myself on this run, and was able to stay free from damage (or getting myself stuck!) for the whole day.  Phew!  The trip really got me excited about wheeling again, after some previous events had sort of dampened my enjoyment of the activity.

AbsntMinded caught me doing a little 3-wheeling down Power Line trail. I didn't wet myself, but was darn close.

All in all, the trip was a great success.  Everyone had a great time, and the first Atlantic H4O run was a promising start to a new chapter for some East coast wheelers.  Feel free to check out more photos in the official photo thread on H4O.  Here's just one more...I was really glad to see some photos of Barney!  I'd be lying if I didn't say that's pretty much my favorite part of wheeling -- retaining the memories!

The long wheelbase has some advantages.  See Exhibit A, above.

I would like to give a huge Hans3T thanks to Kflips, who kindly contracted us a guide for the day.  Without Dale riding with us, we would have covered way less trail, undoubtedly.  I would like to also thank 4spdfunk & company for making the drive from Indiana as well as AbsntMinded & company for sharing the fun day with us.  It was a pleasure seeing you all, and I am really looking forward to the next time we meet up!

As always, thanks for reading!  Later on, Hans3Teers!
